I had my unemployment phone interview this morning and now I'm falling apart. My former employer sent a letter to the department in charge of unemployment in the state telling them what a terrible employee I was. I seem to have mostly recovered from the sinus ick, but I'm having severe GI issues again (still). Last night was nightmarish. I made a doctor's appointment this morning, then called work to let them know I was going to be in late. Went to the doctor yesterday, because things were looking not good. She said it's a nasty virus, but she's very concerned about it turning into more, especially with my history. She gave me cough drops, throat lozenges, heavy duty decongestant, and strict orders to rest, drink like a fish, and come back if I get even a hint of worse. She ( Read more... )

Was feeling up to the challenge of vertical today, so I went into work to see what damage my boss had done in my absence. Surprisingly little, though it wore me out catching up.
